Network Design: MMW

CableFree Millimeter Wave (MMW) links are Point to Point (P2P) architecture links.
Per-Link Capacities are up to 10Gbps full duplex per radio, and aggregate up to 40Gbps.
Depending on local climate and availability targets, MMW links can be deployed up to 5 to 20km range.
CableFree offer E-band (71-76 & 81-86GHz) as well as V-band (60GHz) MMW wireless links. Design rules for each differ. V-band range is limited by Oxygen absorption in the air which makes these links ideal for short range urban links. Both E-band and V-band suffer heavy attenuation due to rainfall so planning takes this this into account to ensure reliable & robust links are engineered in each region.

Training: MMW

Millimeter Wave links feature narrow beamwidths of down to 0.3 degrees. Link Alignment can be demanding and prior experience and/or training is generally required.
It is highly recommended that all installers attend an appropriate CableFree Certified Wireless Engineer training course. Please ask for more information on training for CableFree Wireless Products.
